Don't grieve for me now, for now I'm free.
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took God's hand when I heard the call;
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I found that place at the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss.
Ah, yes, these things, I too, will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief;
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me--
God wanted me now, God set me free.

David's mum was wondering what belts/attainments DDV had in the martial arts he practiced -- does anyone here know? She's creating a bio for the memorial this weekend and would like to know. You can reach her directly on FB at https://www.facebook.com/ericka.stehle.7

I believe Dave was in a band called KLASS. Two days ago a bunch of their songs were posted on youtube. They'll come up when you
search for "David Devere".

Not to break away from Dave's obit, but I just thought I'd let you know that this is not correct, I-mon.

The first death on the board was back when it was one of those scroll down tree thingy's and the first guy to die on the boards name was Volker Kruger? It's been a long time but I'm pretty sure that was his name. We've also lost Marcello Texeira back in the day too.

All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.

I was gonna mention Marcello Texeira, but I wasn't around when Kruger was here so I didn't even know about him. :/

I can't remember exactly when it was but it was like maybe 1999-2000. Memory fails, it was a long time ago.

Volker died in an auto accident back in the early 2000s, 2001 or later.

Marcello died from a heart attack on September 5, 2003.
