I am deficient in translation of Chiense but my sense is that Xu Yu Sheng was of the scholar class and a familiarity so he clearly bring in these traditions in his hagiographical references to taijiquan. Based on this affiliation and association, he is able to obscure the origin of his own training while enhancing the influences of his taijiquan instruction.

I love the translation, I understand the words and the meaning but I am still clueless but it is just me.
