William Guo Tai Leung?

Postby edededed on Tue Jan 22, 2013 4:06 am

There is a teacher named William Guo Tai Leung of xingyiquan, bajiquan, and Liang style baguazhang in Richmond BC, as per this website: http://www.tristartaiji.com/

I was just curious if anyone here knew more about him, or had studied with him... Interestingly he does not seem to teach the baguazhang for some reason. (Anyway, you can kind of read the description as if he learned directly from Liang Zhenpu, but then he would be ancient :D )

Uh yeah... Li Zi Ming learned from Liang Zhen Pu, but Li Zi Ming died years ago at a very old age. Not sure when Liang Zhen Pu passed or how old this guy would've been at the time...

I believe Liang Zhen Pu passed in 1932 so it is unlikely he studied with him.

Yeah - Li Ziming was considered the last living 3rd generation baguazhang practitioner toward the end of his life - which also should mean that he was the last living disciple of Liang Zhenpu as well, during that time. So I guess that Williang Leung probably learned from maybe Li Ziming or Gao Ziying or perhaps another of Guo Gumin's disciples... but if anyone knows better... ;)
