Can of worms? maybe ;D

Having read Meir Shahar's very interesting and well researched book on 'The Shaolin monastery';

I was wondering if anyone is familiar or aware of any similar material concerning the history and development of the various wudang quan?

I became curious after reading 'The Major Methods of Wudang Sword' by Huang Yuan Xiou originally published in the 1930's

Filtering legend, myth, and modern revisionist marketting is no easy walk in the park, so .....where to turn?

Any help would be much appreciated.
