last word from the Chen sword beginner - about recommended jian quality.
After couple of the months with the sword by Hanwei, -
- I have complain about handle quality.
-Materials and assembling - is shitty, but makin` the impression - not being so bad - on the 1st look... ::)
Blade itself after additional polishing doesn`t look bad,
but
didn`t do serious cutting yet...
have to reassembling it with a new solid handle - opportunity to check how blade-handle connection really looks.
then, I will try something serious :)

anyway , just in the case 8-) , I`m trying to get the address of my old friend - damascus -smith specialist - he will do a new blade for me.

Right now, just learn the routine.
At some point thereafter, just try to get as best the traditional sword (weight) as possible and you will really see the difference with integration of yao/waist kua directional turning with wrist control.

When fascism comes to US America, It will be wrapped in the US flag and waving a cross. An astute patriot

learned routine already, not interested in training in this group any more -my approach to the training seems to be eee, different .
lighter weapon -always much easier to operate, but
when i do the cut with sword less then 600 g:
- to easy transmission of the force from hand to the tip -weaving of the blade - like u can see on Dan only posted vid, with the stick ,
so,
I like my almost 1 kg jian more for now, `cause not waving to easy
when I get the damascus blade - it should be close to 600 -700 g weight and as traditional, as you can get contemporary , - we will see what happen.
In mean time ,have to do new handle. Original wasn`t prepared for so intensive work, obviously. :)

ps2
have to admit, that when doing the whole form in full, on "the max", this 1kg fells like 100 :) - couple moves before the end ...

ok, final beginner post,
`cause I removed the blade from the handle and did the new one. ;)

Now I `m sure , that sword is really ready for serious work.
I mounted wooden handle on elastic glue / was lose/ ,
and
I exchange fancy braid.

Now I have rawhide simply coiled around the handle - much better handling and more north -european look :D
