The Attitude

Rick Taracks and his wujifa blog are rare gems in the world of IMAs. Good, solid info and a proper attitude towards building gongfu. Note that his students have actually managed to develop the classic IMA attributes : they are "song" (relaxed) enough that they can sink (chen) and fajin (express trained force) properly. A rare thing in IMA it seems...

If you're ever in Southeastern Michigan, you should pay Rick a visit.

I stumbled on another interesting video of this group.

I wonder, with their training routine, how long before they can actually feel the spine and the subtle movements as the weight being shifted between the two legs. Perhaps being focused on Zhan Zhuang, they can shorten the time. I know with my Taichi practice (not focused so much on Zhan Zhuang), it does take a long time. But eventually, we feel the same thing as these guys.
