RIP Yang Fansheng

Discussion on the three big Chinese internals, Yiquan, Bajiquan, Piguazhang and other similar styles.

RIP Yang Fansheng

Postby D_Glenn on Mon Oct 13, 2014 12:51 pm

I don't know if many people know about this. I did a search to see if anyone had posted this before but nothing. I hate to be the bearer of bad and late news.

He was number #1 on my bucket list of people to see.

This is a huge loss for the ICMA community and don't imagine that some RSF members and people who studied with him are taking this well.

Master Yang Fan Sheng, Kung Fu brother of Grandmaster Li Tai Liang, passed away on July 23rd, 2014. Master Yang was highly achieved in internal arts and taught disciples and students around the world. Teachers and students of Xinyi-Dao system offer their condolences for the loss of this great martial artist. ~ http://litailiang.homestead.com/Lineage.html

Wow - terrible news. I remember reading some awesome interviews with him in the old Japanese CMA rag. He wasn't even that old - hope he rests in peace.

If I remember right, there were 3 collaborators for xinyidao - Yang Fansheng, a guy named Cheng, and Li Tailiang; leaving only the last.
