I think he is v good to. I have a few other videos of him where he does xinyiluhe and basics. You can tell he is not just a form collecter as he actively trains the individual moves for power and speed.

The hard makes the "soft" "internal" if trained with right dynamics!

I can't watch the video, but from what I've seen, he looks like the real deal.

He seems a little stiff. Some of the movements demonstrate his ability to transition between hard and soft but some looked like he was just pushing. He is fast and clearly powerful and I have no doubt that he would be a formidable fighter.

Seeing as he's my teacher's shixiong (kungfu brother) I should probably step in here. Feng Zhengbao studied from Xu Wenzhong, one of the older generation of masters in Shanghai who was famous mainly for his Xinyi Liuhe and Shaolin quan. What Feng Zhengbao is showing in the video is Song style xingyiquan. Xu Wenzhong had learnt Song style xingyiquan from Hao Zhanru, a Shanxi Song style master who moved to Shanghai in the 50s. The Song style Feng Zhengbao shows is a little different from what is practiced by Song family in Taigu nowadays, but is still good xingyi, good example of the real whole body power, can really see the 'wave' of power moving through his body.

That's interesting Nick thanks for telling us more about him. Have you ever had an opportunity to cross hands with him?

Nope, as he's in Japan and I'm based in Shanghai have not had a chance. Would love to if the chance arises.
