Cool -

Is he trying to make a point about being upright with those images, or is he saying 'it's all the same'?

Really liked this video he posted:

The poster is actually full of disparaging comments about how most of the old-time Bagua masters practiced with incorrect postures, and that only his and Cheng Hai-Ting's are right with the back held vertically straight -- a bit presumptuous if you ask me.

Fair play to him - he stays very upright under pressure - his form is pretty perfect.

Child's play and noncommittal. Su would lose in a real situation, judging from this demo. Yes I would tell him to his face. :)

Are you under the impression that this famous underworld enforcer and Full contact tournament champion has never been in a 'real situation'? :-\

Legend. Underworld enforcer? Even if true no gangbanger ever fights without his gang, alone they die.

Su Dong Chen's work is always fascinating. And yes, in person he can demonstrate very effective martial arts techniques. He is not a big fan of the old masters and has always been in favor of scientific analysis, careful analysis and effective testing. Although I don't always agree with what he writes, I feel that he is a great representative of the Chinese martial arts. Keep questioning, keep testing and keep discovering.

Su can most definitely handle himself. The way he moves is quite interesting and to my eyes a little different to many IMA practitioners.

Anyway what I'm wondering is about the point of the poster - is it as CJW says "this is wrong and this is right?" and if so what - there is nothing wrong per se with having a lean of the upper body but I suspect the point made is not that simple.

Translation appreciated :)

Quick question, is there a way to mute users on here? Do I add someone as a "Foe"?

He was a Yakuza bodyguard of some sort when he was younger from what I recall.

Yakuza, Mafia, Triad, once always, you do t get out, it's not a job, it's your life. Of course " from what I recall" notes that you were there and know from personal experience and exposure to such a life.
