My first recommendation would be to go to Tiantan (Altar of Heaven) park early in the morning, from say 7am all the way through to 10am.

Last time I went there (less than a year ago) there were good teachers of San Huang Pao Chui, Liang style bagua, Chen style taiji and Yiquan in that park. PM me if you want names.

I highly recommend Di Guoyong shifu - a true gentleman!

Check out if He Jinbao is in town during your visit, too ;-)

As for parks... In Tianjin at least, it's a good investment to arrive as early as 5AM when the weather is good - some of the best teachers do their training very early and finish or disappear by 7-8AM.

Located in Xicheng District in Beijing, the White Cloud Temple is one of the three “ancestor courts” of Quanzhen Sect of Taoism.

A friend of mine teaches informally in Beijing, Haidian district, he speaks English well
and likes to mix it up with others,,,, a taiji bother of mine.
If its not something one is looking for he knows and visits with a lot of the teachers there
might be able to suggest someone to train with.

pm if interested

To the OP,

Purple Bamboo Park to be exact.

You can also try Xingwu Martial Arts Center (they train in one of the local parks).

Good luck! :)
