I only know of two that has the nickname of Divine Spear or 神枪 in chinese martial arts world;
and the two would be:
1) 姬际可 (Ji JiKe), from Yongji, Shanxi
2) 李书文 (Li ShuWen), from Nan Liang Village, Cang Zhou

Wang Hunglou, but he wasn't called 'Divine Spear" because of his skill with a qiang.
It is necessary to drink alcohol and pursue other fun human activities. The art (i.e. karate) of someone who is too serious has no "flavour."

Afaik, Li Shuwen was called "Divine Spear" or "God Spear" in Taiwan. But, John Wang would probably know.

I don't know about qualifies. I just remember that Li Shuwen was given the name. Here's something about it:

For awhile in China I went Wang Da Hong. No one ever got the joke. They just said it was a "very patriotic name."

What about Wang Zhongjin 王仲錦 (1580 - 1679), the probable founder of the Wangbaoqiang system, having learnd from Dong Bingqian 董秉乾?

If I recall correctly, Li Shuwen may have been the third in his Baji lineage to be given the Big Spear title.

the way i see it he/she must:
a) able to do feats humanly not possible with the spear (hence "divine")
b) leave others with mouths wide open, stunned speechless at what they just witnessed, AND
c) their witness HAD to add "Divine Spear" to the master's name, otherwise it does not fully describe how stunned
they were when they witness the crazy.

cheers
