This is the first time I have seen both this painting of Yue Fei and this alleged picture of Li Luoneng. Yue Fei is usually depicted as a very strong and fearsome warrior. In this painting he looks fat, mild and bland. As for Li Luoneng - the man died in 1888, at about his early 80s / late 70s. Picture is plausible, but considering how relatively rare photography in China and the rest of the world was at the time... Who claimed this was Li's picture? Do they have proof?

The picture of 'Li Luoneng' is actually Bu Xue Kuan (i think).

@ Jonathan: older depictions of Yue Fei often (or usually?) depict him quite differently from the

very strong and fearsome warrior

that is common nowadays. This is also the picture on the English wikipedia page. If you search around using traditional Chinese characters, you will find a few interesting depictions.

i think you may need to get more well acquainted with chinese culture
many "fearsome" chinese generals are very handsome, some with looks that may compete with women.

recently l earned from the oral records of a student of Shang Yunxiang and Xue Dian.
he is an old man with good skill, got into a car accident late in his life and docs said it is most
likely lose the ability to walk. Went back to recuperate in his home village and use xingyi
zz methods to fix his legs to walk again.

he said both Shang and Xue had a kindly and scholarly air and way about them.
Xue speaks softly and teaches in strict details.
Shang has a way of walking slowly, almost lazily

　　李书文当问明情况，知李书文是替师傅来任教官时，众人哈哈大笑。袁世凯的卫队武道教官伊藤太郎，蔑视地对李书文说：“大大的东亚病夫。”并用小手指向下连续指点。刹那间，李书文以闪电般的速度，施枪刺壁蝇之绝技惩罚了他。众人惊愕，伊藤大怒，挥起日本长刀以泰山压顶之势朝李书文头顶猛力劈下。李书文大枪一抖，将刀崩飞，再顺势一枪“泥鳅翻花”，刺穿伊藤的咽喉，又大枪一挑，将死尸甩出演武大厅外。众人惊天动地呼。日本武道教官秋野、井上、野田见同伴被李书文刺死，齐挥刀恶狠狠地朝李书文扑来。只见李书文进出如闪电，退守如矢箭，大枪一抖如蛟龙出水，左刺右挑，顿时血肉横飞。顷刻间，三位日本武道高手的尸体都被甩出演武大厅之外。众人惊愕之时，李书文大枪一摆，刺向厅柱之蝇，蝇落而厅柱无痕。厅内立刻爆出雷鸣般的掌声。袁世凯连呼：“神枪！神枪！真乃神枪也！”从此，“神枪李书文”名冠天下。

i'm not a baji practitioner, regrettably
but as i understand it the spear used by Baji pratitioner is call 丈二大枪
depending on who you ask and what measurement used, it works out to be 3 metres or slightly over that
and let's assume a normal japanese man weighs in at 60-70 kg
you do the math
whatever it is, i dun think it's purely just muscles
