Hi Everyone,
I have read a little and looked at some youtubes of umbrella techniques. So far I seem to find choy li fut and hung gar. Do other styles use umbrellas? Does anyone have a set of umbrella basics they would like to share? Is there a particularly good umbrella form out there?

I define internal martial art as unusual muscle recruitment and leave it at that. If my definition is incomplete, at least it is correct so far as it goes.

Daito ryu aikijujutsu and derivatives such as Hakko ryu have umbrella techniques..

The ones I have seen do not differ much from walking stick forms
I have not seen many basics being displayed
Try FMA stick basics
The only things that differ in our forms are about 5 techniques hitting and grappling with the hook
If you look on my tennytigers YouTube channel there is a walking stick playlist that has one or two umbrella forms on it

Don't put power into the form let it naturally arise from the form

The only problem is that the umbrella techniques don't work on windy and rainy days.
