Any drill that works on freedom of movement, breathing and posture and is non-damaging is surely good for health?

I have deep love with my "high kicks". There are 5 things on my daily "MUST DO" list. There are:

1. 1 hour running.
2. whole body warm up.
3. bar stretching.
4. floor stretching.
5. dynamic stretching - such as swing leg over head, inside crescent kick, outside crescent kick, head down and leg horse back up kick, ground double crescent kicks.

The running is just to prepare serious stretching. The serious stretching is just to prepare high kicks. Some days I may not do any CMA training. But I will still train my "high kicks".

It's a very strange feeling. When you get old, if you can still

- have "hard on", it will make you feel young.
- do "high kicks", it also will make you feel young.

IMO, if anything that can make you feel young, you should keep doing it.

^ like. IMA/qigong seems to help with the first "young" requirement, dunno about the second one.

1&4 i could do with, but number 5, i really dislike number 5 on that list. If i do any exercise about 5, it will be the 5 elements of XYQ & Tongbeiquan, makes me feel young 8-)

Anything that

- old people can do it, even if I can do it, it still makes me feel old.
- young people can do it, if I can still do it, it will make me feel young.

I wish I can still kick like this old man did when I get to his age.

This is the "head down and leg horse back up kick". I intend to keep doing this until I will be 100 years old.

A couple of days ago my wife and i moved from the north down to Anhui province. We rented a big truck to move our belongings. It was basically just me and the driver that loaded/unloaded the truck(i also traveled with the truck) I used to do this kind of heavy labour in my younger days, but still had it in me, i was as on fire, as a well oiled machine, i felt young and full of energy, my wife worried i would lose to much energy, but i did not. Practise wise for the past 20 yrs i basically have just been doing TJQ &XYQ forms, as i said this practice makes me feel young and strong

Don't know how old this guy is. It will be nice if you can still do this when you are 80.
