Ok so I know many more exist online that don't have a presence on YouTube, so please share them.

I'll start with two most obvious ones...
Jake Mace

Freddie Lee

Thoughts?

Have any others to share?

Hello! I am editing this post to point out that users here cannot delete their own posts. I do not understand why users have the ability to edit their posts but not to delete their posts.

Originally I wanted to have a "cool post count" of 108, or something like that (something associated with Tai Chi) but that does not seem possible here.

I'd characterize them as fitness freaks who've barely dabbled in CMA, and yet been taking advantage of the uninitiated by teaching and charging money for lessons.

What's wrong with Jake Mace? At least he's making contact. I'm curious as to what your standard of judgement is.

Same comment.

Here's a thought I had.

These guys have their own dojos and a lot of students. Their basics are strong and clear. They practice a variety of martial arts and applications that I personally don't like (as a specialist). I imagine you are in a similar position. But as for me my only complaint against them is just that I don't want to learn what they know because I am a purist, not that they are frauds. Actually in some cases their foundation training is better than mine.

Knowing what I know now, from a martial arts standpoint I can say both of these people are in a better position to learn Tai Chi than I am now, except that they aren't training it.

Good point, guess I jumped the gun a bit. Sorry.

Just that both guys have proven questionable lineages. Also the disrespect Freddie shows to grappling/MMA.

Just find it strange Freddie claims to be a JKD master yet he has admitted to only training in CaiLiFo/wingchun for about two years. He claims to be the P4P best in the world and writes book on the philosophy of martial arts.
Jake has online vids on nearly every gongfu style. When his original teacher was Sin Kwang The. A proven fraud in court with no real ties to the Shaolin Temple.

I don't give fuck about lineage. Jake Mace is a fraud because he obviously lacks a Taijiquan foundation (look at his structure.. or better DON'T) and because the one sparring video I found was laughably pathetic, more like a silly dance. I saw a video of the latter guy sparring. Not the worst I've seen by any stretch, but he seems like an arsehole.

Don't know about Freddie Lee, but I am totally comfortable calling Jake Mace a fraud. In the case of Xingyiquan, he is teaching a style in which he has no lineage, and his movements look like he learned it off a [bad] video. No way for students studying it with him to ever actually see what 'real' XYQ is about.

I'm not sure the Shaolin Temple has any real ties to the Shaolin Temple!

Not to worry. No one thinks the Internet is real.
