The "entering strategy" is not fake attack. It's to remove your opponent's defense so you can apply your "finish strategy". "Fighting without form" is like not knowing how to penetrate through your opponent's strong defense.

For example, if your opponent uses both arms to

- guard his head, you will need to drill through between his arms and separate his arms apart.
- have 1 long arm and 1 short arm to guard his center line, you will need to redirect his long arm to jam his short arm.
- ...

In other words, if you can hide your compression in your "entering strategy", you will be able to generate the maximum power in your "finish strategy".

Feints are probably an option within your "entering" though I suppose.

I like this discussion because most everything applies to various sports and not just MA so it's pretty universal to understand. "Finishing" is a term in football/soccer referring to finishing an attack. Although it's really from a sex metaphor and not a Mortal Kombat type of reference.

Once you understand interpretative energy it is all form and formless at the same time

Why do you bother to comment on tai chi when you think your sj and Shaolin are superior
Every comment you make is just an excuse to push forward that view

Can we just stick to the subject "Fajin" and leave "YOU" and "I" out of it?
