Yes fu is doing walking 4 hands then a simplified version of Ta lu
Elbow pull down, and split are not very evident just shoulder and roll back
Don't put power into the form let it naturally arise from the form

Yes same patten as Ta lu
4 corners

Can you find a video of your style doing da lu with the turn-in step? Years ago I had a long argument with a bagua guy about whether tcc had that type of bu at all.

Anyway, Fair Lady is a fascinating set of movements that, ime, is almost a system in itself. I wouldn't say that it emphasizes split, pull down, shoulder and elbow. Then again, I'd qualify that when it comes to elbow. However, I don't think that the fact that Fair Lady hits the corners is related to the corner applications. The movements (ding shi) just
finish in the corners. But, it's how ya get to the corners that's different.

Well, I think I know what he's doing. My point was that all of them could be combined, and that's what happened in the op video. [Edit: they look like they're using variations with a chain step. I'm not sure what others call it. It's like doing walking phs on the diagonal].

Yep, that's the base/essential pattern.:) Imo, it's fundamental to any idea of "attacking" in tcc.

Anyway, the Wu and Yangjia Michuan variations are also cool. Though, imo, all the diagonal, slanting, and oblique stepping positions can apply.

Uncle Dug has been my primary Guang Ping Yang instructor and here he is with his student Rick Clark who is my Zheng Manqing Taiji instructor for one pattern.
