Applications just serve to fuel intention in form practice. In actual use the intention just flows and body follows

In one(or more) of my Zheng Manqing books I have somewhere there are pics of YCF doing a few "applications" ,don't remember if there is a bkts application. But I remember the "Singlewhip" and "Needle at sea bottom" looks kind of "funky", as if YCF are saying - Look, you all ask "what is the use of this and that move" so here I show you, and the ones of you who are clever will understand.

I have problem to understand your logic. Could you explain a bit more detail?

It seems to me as if you are trying to say:

- Just because I don't love you. It does not mean that I don't love you.
- Just because I am poor. It does not mean that I am poor.
- Just because I drop bombs on your country. It does not mean that I drop bombs on your country.
- ...

If this logic can make sense, the whole world can be in big trouble.

Wayne probably meant to type: "Just because a teacher doesn't teach applications does not mean that they don't KNOW combat applications."

No I didn't mean that
What I am saying is someone may not break the form down into this move beats this attack
However the overall training regime may impart combat ability

This I can understand and I agree. Just make sure that Wayne didn't talk like a monk.

A poor scholar talked to a monk. The monk looked down on him because he was poor. The monk then talked to a wealthy person with respect. The scholar asked, "Should monk treat all human being the same?" The monk said, "Respect is not respect. Not respect is respect." The scholar punched on the monk's face and said, "Punch is not punch. Not punch is punch."

I may talk like a monkey at times but never like a monk
I thought what I said was clear
Sorry if it was not
