Anyone know why the jian technique 'Shoot The Wild Goose' has that name?

Google translates that as 'Young Tai Chi sword shot goose potential' - don't understand that.

I always took it as if the hand holding the sword had the bow string and the sword was the arrow
The free hand with the sword fingers held the bow and aimed it

It is a lower thrust and should be possible to do it on a wild goose on the ground. This is really clever as it would not be possible with any other bird or animal.
