Back when I trained Karate we where not allowed to drink during classes which where very sweaty, it was part of our training(i guess to endure hardship). While science say such practice is not good for the body, I could see some value in it in the sense of mental/willpower/endurance strengthening......and also the body did not have the need to take a leak emediatly after practice, the main concern was refilling(with water/sport drink)

as I recall my competitions days, to much drinkin` in such situation diminish the power.
but,
internal training is slightly different- you`re using less >raw< power for longer period of the time.
Sometime training session can be 3h., or even more .
Additionally changing diet /not everyone case/takes tool.
anyway,
I suppose, that it can be quite important info, if some old master/s?/ care to paint couple characters about it.
