Well, at 11:00 he starts talking about spending 17 years with the same people, training 5+ hours a day, that could be one part.
That being said I am not convinced he gets it. Then again, what does "getting it" really mean?

In Taiwan...often people approach asking advice on something they see in the practice
wondering how to, or what should they
be doing to "get " what they see.
Most have the theory, an intellectual understanding...they can talk about this
Some how this doesn't match their present development or skill set.. when put to the test..
Others having an understanding based on skill,
comment remarking on the similarities of both practices, appreciating the differences..
My own feeling starts from the POV that everyone has it,
they block themselves from realizing it.
The practice based on helping them to identify, remove the blockages
