OK that's a whole different thing

Well since this thread started talking about Yi Quan...
One does not simply post on RSF.

It did venture into other arts and PR trains other arts
Also I have never heard the words San Shou refered to in YC
So I was just clarifying
Just because a thread starts off with one theme doesn't mean it stays there

I was v interested in Paul's comments about his training in Wu style taiji in Malaysia, particularly when he mentioned the "lao niu jin" (old ox strength) method of pushing which was taught to him by Mr Long (his main taiji teacher), as this method is present in the Hao taiji I am studying now as well, and I think it is a really good way of training the initial levels of peng.

I've heard him talk of Hao style as 'that weird one which is super practical' .. the training in Malaysia sounds really interesting. I think Mr Long was the elder kung fu brother of Dan Doherty;s teacher.. lots of throwing and locking .. one day, when I want to get killed, I'll ask him to teach me Wu

I think u guys are mixing up Wu and Wuu
DD Wu has nothing to do with Hao
There is film of PR doing classic Wu when he first started

Maybe a little interesting note on Yiquan and Wutaijiquan(northern) -
At some time Wang Xiangzhai’s and Yang Yuting’s groups were practicing next to each other at the park/gardens just west of forbidden city in Beijing and Yang Yuting would let some of his students practice with Wang’s group

It seems I am in big trouble because we do a lot of dead standing, and the rest of the practice is entirely patterns and drills.
