Unavailible books

Postby circle_walker on Fri Apr 17, 2009 3:33 am

Can anyone recommend a good site for tracking down out of print, or books that just aren't available in our respective areas? For example I was wanting a copy of Jack Dempsey's "Championship Fighting", but it's out of print. A while back, someone linked me to a website that had the whole thing on PDF available to everyone for free. I actually need to find that one again(my computer died with Ike), but specifically I'd like to track down some of Jiang Rongqiao's work. I have his Bagua book that Andrea Falk translated, but would like to see his other books, even though they are not currently available in English(to the best of my knowledge). If anyone can recommend a good way to track these down, I'd appreciate it. PDF is fine, a place to order them is good too.

Most of Jiang Rongqiao's books are available as good quality reprints from Lion Books in Taiwan and in the US Plum Publishers (Debbie and Ted) stock the Lion Books reprints. As to the Dempsey book, go to Scribd and search, I am pretty sure it is there. Or if not there Filliby is the second place I would look.

take care,

Check the translations of Joseph Crandall at http://www.smilingtiger.net, or contact him on this forum (he's forum member stma). He has translated some books by Jiang Ronqiao.

Did the same with Jiang Rongqiao. There seems to be a torrent and excerpts on pfd.
