Naishindo?

Discussion on the three big Chinese internals, Yiquan, Bajiquan, Piguazhang and other similar styles.

Naishindo?

Postby Father_Jon on Tue May 05, 2009 12:34 pm

So, I live in the sticks these days. I have been interested in learning Xingyi for a while now, or at least the 5 elements, just to experience the energy. I ended up meeting a guy who teaches the three internals, though they come to him through Naishindo, a Japanese branch of IMA. His XY looked different than anything I have seen elsewhere, though my exposure is minimal to say the least.

Has anyone had experience with either the system or a practitioner? Some of the stuff I recognized, and some of it was new to me, including a type of shuddering strike and soft rather than crisp strikes. The site is www.naishindo.com. Any thoughts are welcome

Ouch, their website hurt my eyes.

there is always a japanese variation on chinese martial arts though, so who knows?

Is there benefit to the practice? If so, then dig in! :)
Coconuts. Bananas. Mangos. Rice. Beans. Water. It's good.
