Use TCMA skill in ground fight

I can see a lot of TCMA skills used here such as

- triangle shoulder lock at 0.32,
- elbow lock at 0.38,
- double wrist hold at 1.05,
- upward separate hands at 1.15,
- An (double push) at 1.21.

Any comment?

Crow weep in the dark. Tide bellow in the north wind. How lonesome the world.

I think the explosion up is a great idea. Things have changed since Royce used bjj in UFC 1. Nowadays the guard seems mostly a failure in mma with the advent of gnp and guard-aware wrestling with certain exceptions of outstanding submission skills against total crap submission skills.

Sanchez may have been able to shove Guida off like this. He had his feet controlling Guida's hips in an open guard a lot. His sub attempts didn't work and expended a lot of energy though his elbows from his back were good. However his standup was working much better so why not try to go back to standing.

He said it all, and I can't say it enough, in a fight you don't want to be on the ground .
The point . is absolute

There maybe some similarity in technique, but I think it's important to know the details and body positioning that make the techniques work on the ground, and I think that's the tricky part when trying to apply your standup game on the ground. I think the BJJ party line "position before submission" is similar to a lot of TCMA where you want to control the opponent and gain superior positioning before applying the throw...
