Tai Chi in Seattle

Postby Dmitri on Tue Jun 24, 2014 11:44 am

Hi all,

A friend has moved there, living in the downtown area (Pioneer Square), and he's interested in tai chi or other internal work. Took a few classes with us in Atlanta, I think we've "spoiled" him enough so that he wouldn't get doped into silk pajamas and smoke-in-mirrors and qi balls... :) But still very much a beginner of course, albeit quite talented and persevering (and a very nice guy), so any pointers towards good IMA people would be appreciated.

I saw the other thread (Seattle IMA), but was wondering if there are other specific pointers to tai chi (any style). He's not as "martially-crazy" as many here ;D, so as long as it's quality bodywork, it should be fine.

Based on that "other thread", I specifically recommended to him the following:
I am... wrote:There is a nice group that trains Daito Ryu style body work (as taught by forum member Bodywork/Dan Harden and Howard Popkin I believe) in Bellevue area.
I've PMed 'I am...' re. the contact info.

Also suggested looking into ILC.

Thanks in advance,
Dmitri
