Xin Yi, Bagua, Tai Ji, & Shaolin in London

Postby Captain McNugget on Tue Nov 04, 2014 3:12 pm

Hi guys,

I'm posting on behalf of San Li who's asked me to help promote him and the chinese martial arts he teaches.

They are:

Shaolin Quan (Lots)
Xin Yi Liu He Quan (Luoyang Branch)
Bagua Zhang (Fan Zhiyong Style)
Tai Ji Quan (Chen & Wudang Styles)

San Li is from Luoyang, China and has been practising for over 50 years; he's 63 now. He lived and taught in Portugal for 16 years but now lives and teaches in Canary Wharf, East London.

If anyone is interested in attending a class or simply meeting San Li please contact me on 07832 478546.

Many thanks.

Luke

Fan Zhiyong style?! Wow! :D

Luoyang xingyiquan is also extremely rare, and quite interesting.

Yeah the Xin Yi he's showing me is interesting. The forms and emphasis are a bit different from what I was expecting but I'm really enjoying it.

I haven't seen much of his Bagua but we were 'playing' the other day and he outflanked me, elbowed me on the jaw and after saying sorry and laughing for a bit said "Fan Bagua". Haha

Hi

Would you mind asking him who is fan style teacher is/was. I am a student under Wen Dasheng who studied under Fan Fenglan, Fan Zhiyong's daughter its always nice to meet a fellow Fan stylist and I am sure my teacher would be happy to know him.

Hi Phil,

I know that his teacher is still alive and living in China but I forget his name. He's in his 80's now. Will ask San Li next time I see him.

Best,

Luke

To bad I never get to visit London these days!

Hey Phil, how is your training with Wen Dasheng doing? Fan style sounds quite cool, also quite mysterious as there isn't much information about it!

Hi

I think its going well, a lot harder than I first thought, There is a lot of material but it is at last making some sense, It took a while to gain Teacher Wen's trust but after that he has been very open. I have never worked harder.

regards

Wait, people LIVE in canary wharf? I thought it was just a haven for bankers/lawyers and mannequins.
