I am moving to the Victoria BC area and am wondering if any one could suggest teachers around this area? I am looking for soft/internal style teachers but I have no problem doing say traditional Chinese southern or northern styles if the teacher is good.

Thank you.

Your best bet in Victoria is Eric Tuttle. This spring and summer he's going to be teaching classes daily in Chen style taiji, and you don't want to miss that. Before then he's got other regular classes going a few times a week. His contact information is on his website:

Thank you everyone for the info. Sifu Tuttle seems very interesting, I was looking on YouTube for any vids of him, nothing.

You won't find anything. He keeps strict control over video of himself.

There's also Sean Boulet, xinyiliuhe practitioner and student of Yu Hua Long, who might be worth checking out. http://www.sixharmonyconsulting.com/p/new-home.html. Victoria is pretty rich in IMA.

Sam Tam teaches privately out of his home in Vancouver.

Sam's father was a doctor in the Chinese armed forces in the 1940's-50's and he arranged for Sam to receive instruction from high level military martial arts teachers including Lau Fat Mang (Eagle Claw), Han Xingyuan (Yiquan, Xingyiquan, Baguazhang), Yu Pengxi (Yiquan), Chang Dongshen (Shuaijiao), Zhang Xiang Wu (Taijiquan, Xingyiquan, Baguazhang) and Qi Jiangtao (Taijiquan).

Sam is one of the few people in the martial arts world that has no place on his body to land on. He is a ghost.

Minor correction in that Sifu did not "learn" from Qi Sifu, more like "exchange of notes".

Say hello to Sam from the Sacramento Warriors.
