Looking for IMA in Chicago

Does anyone know of a good teacher in Chicago? I have a background in Chen Taiji, but am open to any style with a solid curriculum and training methodology.

Ideally I'd like to find someone that knows how to build a foundation and test the development of IMA skills.

Thanks greytowhite, your reply is much appreciated.

Arnaud, I hope all is well for you in the UK. Chicago's loss is truly London's gain.

If anyone else has any recommendations, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks again!

Hi Symmetry. There are several good IMA teachers here. I study with Dr Paul Hannah. I also highly recommend Nganga Tolo Naa and his group. DM for more info.

As one of the few people on the board who actually know Gary Glyman, I can say without question his tai chi is first rate.

People give him a lot of crap as they don't like his personality.

However, Gary is one of the most giving people I know and his martial tai chi is great.

I've met a handful of people over the years with his level of skill in the US or Asia. If you are into tai chi and in Chicago he is well worth checking out. He also studied shuai Jiao when younger, but I don't know if he teaches it at this point.

Gary can fight and all of his senior long term students can as well. That by itself is a pretty solid testament in IMA circles.
