Jan Silberstorff, a disciple of Chen Xiaowang, will be teaching theory and practice of Chen style Taijiquan on October 24-26, 2008. Jan Silberstorff received his taijiquan teaching license from the People's Republic of China in 1989. In 1993 he was the first westerner to medal in the Chenjiagou tournament. Jan became an indoor student and family disciple of Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang in 1994. Jan will be focusing on the 8 Trigrams Theory of Taijiquan and the application of theory to forms practice.


Friday October 24th 6p - 9p: Introduction to the Application of 8 Trigram and Yin Yang Theories in the Correction of the Form and Silk Reeling (all levels)

Saturday October 25th 9a - 12p: Standing, Silk Reeling Exercises (all levels); 2p - 5p: Form Correction (intermediate level, Laojia Yilu)

Sunday October 26th 9a - 12p: Form Correction Continued; 2p - 5p: Push Hands and Application Utilizing 8 Trigram Theory

$60/module (3 hour block)
$300 all
