Oh, man, you're gonna hate Boulder. It's a bunch of hippies...

Hey, Derek.

There's a Yizong enclave in Boulder.

You're coming back to where it all started.

JB's coming in October.

I'd think that Rusty and the NM crew will be coming up here.

Mario S. contacted me awhile back and wants to start doing Yin style, so I'm going to try and get him to come.

What's your ETA?

Gary R. (RBSD/Bagua) is in the area, as is iWalkTheCircle (Shuai Jiao), along with Fisherman (Gao Bagua), and of course Devlin. I'm in the area, too, but I wouldn't recommend training with me as I'm of low skill and generally unpleasant to be around (whether it's the smell or personality that's more offensive is up for debate).

There are Yizong folks outside of the Boulder group who are excellent as well. There's also a bunch of Uncle Bill's students (Kuntao-Silat), some IMA guys from the Tang Shou Tao (sp?) lineage who are top-notch, at least three great Chen style teachers, one of Eric Ling's students, a few MMA gyms with active pros, fencing taught by Olympians, Aiki Jujitsu, Feeding Crane, pioneers in adrenal stress training, internationally recognized self-defense experts, and probably a bunch more that I don't know about. We used to have a great Eagle Claw guy, but he got arthritis and moved to Nevada. You might be the only Xinyi guy, though...

Somatai
There's definitely a good group of people around!
Hit me up when you get out here. I've got a great little place to train outside of Boulder.

Hey, Derek.

Just FYI, my current teacher does seminar with the Gao enclave there in Boulder every so often. He's a super good guy and his ability to explain deep concepts relating to functional Bagua and Hsing-i in plain English is really quite amazing.

Anyway, if you get a chance to I'm saying he's really worth it.
