TWO DAY SEMINAR

In this Shastar Vidiya seminar, Gurdev Nidar Singh will cover generating internal power and bypassing muscular and torque methods of generating power. This manner of generating power, known as Shiv Shakti, is far superior in:
a. Stealth – As there is no chambering and telegraphing of strikes.
b. Speed – As through the closing of the six Chakras, the core stabilizing muscles (e.g. Transverse Abdominals, Multifidus, Pelvic floor etc.) are triggered, and the body becomes one solid functioning unit. With this, there is a great improvement of efficiency and hence speed. The speed is such that one’s eyes cannot track it.
c. Power – As the core muscles are brought into play and the diaphragm is dropped to release the natural cellular tension in the body. One’s blows, be they armed or unarmed, become far more powerful as they are delivered with the whole body mass.
d. Versatility – As the shoulder blades are released, and all movement is initiated by the shoulder blades by relaxing various muscle groups wrapped around the scapula. This greatly improves the versatility of one’s strikes. One can now, in mid-flight of a blow, change angles of attack in an incredible way.
e. Rate of blows – With this method one can deliver blows at a much higher rate without compromising on speed, power, or versatility.
f. Endurance – As one is not employing muscular power, one’s endurance is greatly enhanced.
g. Foot work - As one masters the spilling of mass before each step, there is no need to push off the ground or employ muscular leg and foot power. As a consequence, a martial artist’s footwork becomes stealthier, smoother, and faster. As with the strikes there is no stop and go--it’s all one smooth action.

The location is accessible via the Montgomery St BART station. There are also numerous parking garages in the area. The seminar starts at 10am each day and end at 6pm each day, with a short break for lunch. Please email [email protected] if you have any questions.

We are keeping numbers very limited, due to space restrictions, and to ensure a quality experience for all that attend. Preference will be given to those who sign up for the full two days, but if we end up having capacity, we will open up a one-day option later.

Thanks, grzegorz! The response among the Bay Area martial arts community during Gurdev Nidar Singh's last visit was overwhelmingly positive, so we are hoping more folks from other arts will attend this time. This seminar in particular will be focused on things of interest to those who train in internal martial arts, and everyone is bound to learn something new and useful.
