Non-IMA tournaments in Sydney (Oz)

Plenty of pro and amateur games happen around Sydney. Not ima but still something you might want to dabble in. Here's a quick list. PM me if you want more info...

Good pro MMA going on here. I know a few people involved in this and the fights are pretty much top level. Brace 37 is on in Nov 21 in canberra.

Local Sambo comp at the FightLab in Tempe. Being held on 28 Nov. Starts at 9am.

ISKA has been running for decades & is a big event. There used to be amateur mma but the government abolished it. So now it's left with a few grappling events (nogi & gi) and just semi contact sparring. Sadly Koshiki is as hard as it get here now...next one oin 29th November.

Urban Fight Night - pro & amateur mma. Not as big as Brace but a lot of good fighters start here. Next one in December.

Local bjj comp. Last one just passed. Next one is due next year. Have gi & no gi and its a big event with lots of fighters. If you do gi you would know about this one.

Judo has several tournaments going around town (one of my kids does judo) & the nationals just happened last week. Not sure of the next one but they are usually every month or two.

For wrestling keep an eye out on this site as next years calendar should be published soon. Last event one was last month. It's not as popular as other comps but some of the competitors are top wrestlers.
