Yizong Bagua Pennsylvania is proud to announce its annual seminars with Yizong Bagua's Master Luo De Xiu. Master Luo is highly regarded as one of the world's most knowlegeable and skilled experts and educators of the Chinese Internal Martial Arts.

Seminar curriculum and details:
Friday, October 21, 2016: 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Gao style Baguazhang Pre-Heaven (先天 Xiantian) Palms

The Pre-Heaven circular changes are the root from which all the treasures of the art of Baguazhang grow. These graceful and challenging movements train the body to develop spiral energy, fluid movement and ingrain in the student the specific attributes needed to use the art for both combat and healing practices. Single Change and the first four palm changes will be covered.

Saturday, October 22, 2016: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Gao style Baguazhang Post-Heaven (後天 Houtian) Palms
Linear Set #4 (震 Zhen) Subtle Techniques

The Post-Heaven linear sets are unique to the Gao system and give the student the key to unlock the secrets that are hidden within the circular changes. The theoretical and conceptual framework of the Pre-heaven circular changes are distilled in the Post-heaven linear forms. These sets channel the Pre-heaven forms into more specific concepts and tools that can be more readily used and understood. The "subtle" techniques of the Zhen line contain many of the higher level theories and applications of the Gao system of Baguazhang.

Sunday, October 23: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Hebei style Xingyiquan's 5 Element (五行) Fists for Combat and Power Development
and the Tai Xing Form of the 12 animals

Hebei style Xingyiquan's 5 Element Fists for Combat and Power Development:
The 5 Element Fists are the foundation of the art of Xingyiquan. They contain all the basic energies and internal principles of the art. This seminar will focus on combat theory, application and power development inherent in these movements.

Hebei style Xingyiquan's Tai Xing Form:
The Tai (Tai Bird or Phoenix) Xing form is one of the more complex and expansive forms of Hebei Xingyiquan's 12 animals. These dynamic movements train the internal body mechanics ingrained in Xingyiquan and contain amazing combat theory and application.

Monday, October 24: 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Push Hands (推手 Tui Shou)

Push Hands is the bridge between the solo practice of Taijiquan and using the art for combat. Through practice with a partner, the postural structure and energies developed in the solo forms can be refined. The fighting attributes of rooting, yielding, sensitivity and power release are developed through immediate feedback in partner practice. Although usually associated with Taijiquan, Push Hands practice is beneficial to practitioners of all styles of the fighting arts, especially the other Internal Martial Arts which use the same attributes. Whether an experienced veteran or a beginning student, Master Luo's teachings and insights will be a valuable addition to your practice.

Students of all levels of experience are welcome at the seminars.
