Feb.26 Weapons Seminar in Philadelphia - Salahuddin Muhammad

Postby Interloper on Wed Jan 11, 2017 3:57 pm

At this one-day seminar in Philadelphia, PA, Salahuddin Mohammed Sensei of Hontai Hakkei Ryu Aikijujutsu will demonstrate weapons as they relate to striking and waza (technique) application. Learn some rare locking, choking, and throwing combinations, and see how effortless receptions of force lead to subtle changes in the attackers body structure.

Aikijujutsu is a Japanese internal martial art, but students of Chinese martial arts who are training in qin-na and weapons will find useful material here. Try a little cross-cultural exploration!

I have just learned that this seminar will introduce the foundational methods of developing internal structure that leads to the powerful aiki of the Japanese internal martial arts (and Chinese internal martial arts). Anyone who has been seeking a means to learn this aspect of the martial arts won't want to miss this seminar!

How was the seminar?
Experience is a hard teacher because she gives the test first, the lesson afterward.

I didn't attend, but the host was blown away by it, and other participants reported that the material and instructor were outstanding. :) Salahuddin Muhammad will be in the Boston area this spring.

Nice. Good to see people getting something worthwhile from a seminar.
