I could be wrong, but seems like there was no challenge issued. He basically said to stay away.

Yeah, the title says it's a challenge to any boxer. I suppose it's more of a mental challenge.

Master Wong is simply effing and blinding his way to World Domination, as his millions of devoted fans well know. Only a complete idiot would dare obstruct the path of his Unstoppable Force.

Love him or hate him, what he says here is absolutely correct. He's not challenging anyone but telling those that want to make those sort of challenges to grow up. He doesn't want to challenge anyone but will defend himself if he has to. He has the energy, skill and venom that so many martial artists lack, he is probably too excitable for many but I grew up with and worked around guys like him all my life, if push came to shove he won't hesitate and will move with venom when it counts, I like that and would rather have him watching my back than most other martial artists around.
If you see someone without a smile - give 'em one of yours...

agree, he has an honesty, and sincerity that comes through in his work, and seems to be very well versed in knowing and understanding what he is teaching and doing and what he is not.

"if you got a problem, close your f-ing eyes, then you got no problem"

he does make some distinctions about what and why he will engage with someone.
By being out there, and presenting his own format, carving out his
own niche, he has to deal with a lot of haters out there.

not so easy, much respect.

I see no challenge! He is speaking the truth about the illusion of internal skill, no physical conditioning and the training required for both sides.

I agree, having tried to start a little taiji group it became clear that marketing, selling your product as the best ever and being a semi-cult figure goes a long way in pushing a martial art people are not that familiar with. It wasn't a relationship I was comfortable with and things didn't work out.

I should have added a smiley, but this thread makes me think I've got nothing in common with this forum anymore. Sad times :(

I must say, Wang is both amusing and absolutely correct (regardless of the title of the clip). As Steve has pointed out, he is saying that you have to invest in your training and be the best that you can. Challenges and pissing contests are for kids. He rightly points out that a mediocre Wing Chun (or any or art) practicioner will get eaten for lunch by a more skilled Western Boxer - why should that surprise anyone? A mediocre chess player will easily be trounced by a more skilled player - is that any different?
