Posted this on another forum, just thought I would put it up here too. Tibetans seem to have their own Qi Gong too?? Not too sure, but there seems to be a lot of "internal" stuff going on, such as the way the yogis generate tremendous heat in their bodies. There was some interesting research about this by academics, I will see if I can find the link. Hope this is ok to post here, I believe it to be related to "internal" practice. It is well worth a watch if you have the time.

Chi gung type exercises where brought into Tibet through Buddhist tantra. There's probably some influence from the native Bon tradition, but I personally find it difficult to navigate where Bon ends and Tibetan Buddhism begins.

The cool thing about the Milarepa film is that it was directed by the Tibetan tulku, Neten Chokling.

Neten Chokling also acted in Khyentse Norbu's film, "The Cup". It's about a group of monks who conspire to watch the World Cup in a Tibetan monastery against their teacher's permission. It's a beautiful movie, highly recommended.
