I had the impression that Yan Fan Sheng was the senior (as told to me by Sudan), but I think both the teachers (Li Tai Liang and Yang Fan Sheng), carry a very different flavour.

I never liked Yang Fan Sheng's hybrid of Che' and Dai, Li's technique looks a lot more orthodox to me.

Although Yang Shifu is the oldest, my teacher, my uncles Yang and Cheng are peers and the three heads of the Xinyidao branch in Taigu. All three are from seperate lines in Che XY. Methods are the same but just with different nuance and flavor. Master Li is the "professor" (literally) - he is the best to learn from in terms of actually figuring the stuff out, and has to my understanding the most Dai training/influence (could be wrong) in his method. Uncle Yang is the "bruiser". Youll tend to see Master Li more often doing str8 Dai or Che and he can actually show you how to get it with practice. Master Yang is just "out there" with it. At this point he does what he wants with it. Hes got all kind of weird stuff as he more often shows the 'Xinyidao' (Che/DAi amalgam) method. His mind is on application and I always have to ask him to please do it slower so my eyes can see what he just did to me. We call him the 'Terminator'. He's like, "Hey you. Come here! Do this! Break his nose, sternum, and hip at the same time!" And youre like, "Huh?". Lol Cheers.

These "ideas" of usage were from SiBa Chui. XY masters have that weird touch. Anybody know what I mean. He wasnt really doing much but my neck was sore after the demo. And I felt nauseous from the shoulder tap because I could feel that if he hit me to hurt me my spine might break. At around 0:13 he does a rising shoulder followed by a down shoulder strike without much movement. The last one was painful as his shoulder is like a bowling ball. Dont mean to sound silly or spooky but real talk. Thats why I always laugh when some asshole 'parrots', (in a stupid voice) "But youre cooperating with him, it wont really work."
