Good for you, I hope you enjoyed it.

Looks like a pretty nails test this. Demonstration of your technical skills, then rolling with a bunch of grades and your instructor! Hardcore!

Wow that guy's a freakin' beast! The roll from half-guard to taking the back at 2:20 looked nice/sneaky... remember learning it once, but completely forgot about its existence...

(Why didn't they stop when blood was dripping? Makes no sense to me... :-/)

They're freakin' beasts, perhaps.

It's hot in the UK at the moment. For some reason I can roll around doing BJJ, sweaty as hell drenched in another guy's sweat and it doesn't bother me. But catch a whiff of some guy with BO in the office or on the street and I want to barf.

What's that about? ;D

Dunno what that's about, but the solution is obvious -- whenever you come across a smelly guy, take him down and roll with him.

On a serious note -- there are some guys (fortunately very, very few) that attend our classes who apparently have a complicated, on-and-off relationship with the shower, and rolling with them can get close to unbearable. But again, that sort of thing happens extremely rarely, like once or twice a year.

Slowly returning to the mats and testing my healing knee.

I am excited that I will be led towards a different game since a few of my go to guards simply will not hold up under pressure for a while. Once I am back rolling (in a month or so if hopefully), I am looking forward to exploring the idea of the light feather being as heavy as the ultra. Cem kilos!

I have a theory that there's a difference between honest swet and, er, dishonest swet....

I don't mind a little BO. It comes with the game but while I don't roll often I do sometimes and I remember a couple of very unpleasant situations where someones bad breath just about made me vomit all over them.

Yes, thanks 100.

I've had similar experiences with instructors teaching BJJ by relying on feeling, at which point it can become like push hands.

I really like the look of this technique and using the hook from turtle.

Anybody else got any turtle go-to techniques they want to share?

I'm the newest guy whose stuck around (three months now, I think). Everybody taps me out...
... until last night.

I was able to defend myself and get a draw against one opponent. I stayed defensive, looked for opportunities and when they didn't work out, withdrew rather than leave my arms out there.

I feel good!
