About five years ago I had an accident with a heavy piece of equipment that totally screwed up my energy. I haven't recovered fully, and my thoracolumbar aponeurosis has been weak and spasmic since. It has improved by leaps and bounds but it was a pretty bad soft tissue injury, and I haven't done enough targeted exercise and therapy to ideally recover. I am fit and can do a lot of things well, but when I got this injury I was in prime shape, and only had to sleep for a few hours a night. I could do Gao Bagua all day. Now I have a lot of strength, but my energy isn't the same. I do spend time training specifically for the lower back, but I clearly have some tension in the lower back and shoulders that is limiting. Thanks for pointing that out and giving me a reminder to work on it.
