would be interesting to know the styles used.
used to know a guy who practiced taught "tang soo do" learnd it in nam, from the ROKS " White Horse (백마) he would tell a person what kick he would use to either knock them out or down. at that time, he was semi pro light heavy scheduled to fight "jeff smith"

1:15 the same type of movement used.

Koean stylist they train pretty hard.
if this detracts from the thread it can be "fixed"

interesting to note, what is practiced pretty much translates into usage while still retaining the essence of the style/ practice.
apparently very different from many CMA practitioners who claim what they do looks and is used differently when put to use.
I should premises this with many modern day "CMA" practitioners"

Nice clip dspyrido.
I think I saw Shonie Carter in there, he loved the spinning back fist.

In the last few years there are more of these moves because they have worked out how to apply them even if they are against grapplers. If they miss then going to the mat is not a big deal anymore. But most important of all is the fight bonuses where a fighter can exceed the take home money above the show/win payout. No point in doing a spectacular move to loose the fight, loose the win payout and no bonus.

On styles - spinning back fist, elbow and kicks are staple MT moves but lately there have been more guys joining with a background in karate, twd and cma. This helps get them picked as good fight cards because it's not just about winning the fight anymore. It is about winning the viewers.

Watching what a spinning kick to the gut does to a seasoned athlete, it's interesting to think that there is a ufc foul for "Kicking to the kidney with the heel".
