There is a system called Zhineng donggong, where wall squatting (dun qiang) is part of the system requirements. Why wall squats? By itself, it is overrated but by adding systematic squatting (static) it help you to realize its necessity in invigorating lower Jiao and easing pelvic 'deficiency', where the psoas and pelvic floor can be mechanically exercised by the lower squatting position.
