Just wondering if anyone here trains bar type calisthenics, and in addition how they feel it benefits/impedes/effects there MA training. Are there any MAs that still include this or similar bar-type bodyweight calisthenics training? I've heard that some Kalaripayattu and Pehlwani schools used to train Mallakhamb for conditioning, although supposedly these days it is typically more of a performance art than a method of training.
