Or, another tact, enjoy your training, share what you will and be open to the opinions of other experiences, testing will then be more fun. It's really not a competition it's awakening. If you need to have some fights to prove you know how that's ok too, but you can't be upset with those who don't see that necessity. If you're good you recognize skill and you recognize BS, who you gotta prove it to ?

since people marketing "Tai chi and internal combat" are at a high level of pussification in Tai chi and fighting to prove their worth, and we know they to pussy to fight, then rather than have someone come to their door and try to whoop their ass, then we will just send a clown to their dojo and throw a pie in their face. that way no pusified tai chi marketer gets their ass kicked and lose face, only a whipped cream face.
