Style wise, I feel if you're going to do a demo, you've got to talk a little. It helps the audience stay connected. The throws themselves look great, except that our attacker there is throwing some pretty anemic, floppy looking strikes.

Some throws a little weak
The attacks pedestrian
But overall good Chen ting hung stuff
Don't put power into the form let it naturally arise from the form

From an actual throws perspective I feel a whole lot of meh. Some throws are better than others (the hip throws and some of the sweeps-some of the positions can be obtained without catching punches in the air).

A lot of the throws are reliant on an over committed opponent, compliancy, and unrealistic expectations (such as catching punches with one or two hands). Poor positioning and mechanics are present on a number of the throws demonstrated. For a lot of these throws to work, your opponent would likely be rather uncoordinated. Not a very high aspiration, but certainly attainable.

Its interesting but I'd like to see John Wangs take on it as this really is his area of expertise. :)

Some of the throws were good, more intent from the attacker to strike the person and it would of looked a lot better.

Appearance-wise, a throw is just a throw. I'd be interested to know whether the throwers in the clip can explain how the body mechanics they are using are related to Taiji, and how they differ from those found in other grappling arts.

Exactly.
Though I would like to know how the body mechanics they are using are related to Taiji, period.

Again... Tai Chi? :-\
