There is an "abrupt twist of the head". When you slow down the gif image and look at it frame by frame you see a major blur at the point of impact.
Because of the missing frames The abrupt twist happens where it blurs the most.
If you followed the link and view the original enlarge the image on your screen and you can see the big guy's head snaps very quickly.
You'll also notice a quick slight blur.
Possibly the Shutter speed on that particular camera wasn’t fast enough, or he/she converted the video and loss frames--I don't know.
Someone on RSF could probably explain the relationship of action shots and shutter speed, conversion frame loss, etc.
However, IF you
turn up the volume really loud at the point of impact you can hear the dull thud of his fist making contact with the big guys face.
And this is Followed by a much louder impact of the big guy’s body hitting the pavement.
