true story that has nothing to do with this video, in 1976 i was walking to my friend troys house and i was wearing no shirt with my best denim vest and my first pair of bell bottoms. i thought damn! i am cool. as i walked along i came upon a sparrow and it flew up my part leg and was freaking out and i was rolling around on the ground freaking out, we were both scared shit less lol. then it got out. i went how and put on my old jeans and never wore bell bottoms again.

Hmm, didn't know it was posted there... Oh well.

I reposed it from a different forum. I don't visit redleaves anymore, at all.

Bruce, that was a great story... How weird!

Actually I think they are cooperating for a video presentation. In the Japanese sense one is "playing" uke. There's no real contesting going on. These guys don't look that good to me. But a half decent taichi guy can be taught to neutralize most throw attempts and counter them. If they had any sense of internal power their strikes, and elbows would be a significant obstacle as well. More fun would be showing them how to deal with more traditional wrestling takedown attempts. I think decent taichi guys could prove to be substantial, and have a whole lot of fun if they played outside the box in more resistive training.

Oh my gosh THAT movie??
Bruce ya could've been a star if you kept those bell bottoms.
Remember the taunt?

Well I was playing in bands in the 70's. My wife threatens me every once in while to bring the old promo pictures out. Silk shirts, bell bottoms, long curly hair and all. Oh the pain knowing I once thought I was cool!! I keep waiting for old age memory loss to set in to spare me the grief.
