Conor, Ido, the whole shebang

Postby GrahamB on Fri Dec 11, 2015 5:36 am

Today at the ‪#‎UFC194‬ Open Workouts Conor McGregor showed off his movement that we've all seen leading up to the fight.

In my eyes this will be credited for his win, or blamed for his loss; depending on how his fight with Jose Aldo Junior goes down on Saturday.

To be honest - I don't think it looked like he was moving that well against the slow stick......

I was impressed with their weigh ins to be fair. Seemed like there was no more time for bullshit and now 'ITS ON!'

Professionals are held to higher standards, don't post if it doesn't meet those standards.

I'm not sure what that means in this context. He's a fighter, not a dancer. This is just a stupid exhibition to build up the fighters as celebrities in their own right, which lines the fighter's pockets and feeds back into the popularity of the sport. It's like saying Bill Belichick is a lesser football coach because his press conferences suck. It's part of the job, but what they really get paid for is competing and winning, not parading themselves in front of the media.

I am very tempted to put money on Aldo... many unknowns though as he is coming off the injury...
