Nicholas Pettas is karateka, born in Greece, winner of several international titles as the K-1 Japan Grand Prix (2001) or the 10th Shin Karate World Championships (2000). In The Samurai Spirit, he is dedicated to learn various martial arts such as Iaido, Sumo, Karate and, of course, Aikido. This is the full version with subtitles in Spanish:

Samurai Spirit was, for me at least, the best of the 'fish out water martial arts explorer' type shows. Human Weapon - meh; Fight Quest was a little better but I really like Nicolas Pettas (his book is a fantastic read BTW) and I always thought it a shame they didn't do more with this show and with him as the host/protagonist.

Is largely a fictional/anime/fantasy of a martial ethos that by and large.... never existed.
