The embedded 56.com video doesn't work for me. There's just a white box. -shrug-

So here is the video link again: http://www.56.com/u62/v_MzI2ODMzMzk.html
The same uploader has another interesting video: http://www.56.com/u87/v_MzI5NjEwOTI.html

I think they're from a Wu Gongyi lineage. The man who fought against the White Crane practitioner in this infamous 1954 fight.

Li Laoshi is my friend's father! From what she says he's very friendly and with a quite good name within the Wu circles (I never met the man so i cannot speak about him for myself). Next time i am in Guangzhou i will go and have a look. This video was taken in Guilin when he went to visit some of his students. Apparently the teacher has no idea about who put it online.

Hi cdobe!

The second clip is a treasure, I think... If I can understand the description correctly (my Chinese is quite bad anyway), it is Wu Gongyi himself, teaching in Hong Kong in the year 1990.

Bests!

That's actually kind of cool.

That means he was probably more focussed on teaching than showing people what he can do.

Hi Ors,
yes it's a treasure and I hope I can edit it a little and put it up on youtube. It is apparently a member of the Wu family (at least he has the same family name), but it can't be Wu Gongyi since he died in the early 70s. It also can't be the other son of Wu Jianquan, because Wu Gongzhao died in the early 80s. I guess it's Wu Da Qi (吳大齊) son of Wu Gongyi, who was the teacher of Bruce Lee's father. This makes a lot of sense, since he practices the modified form of Wu Gongyi. If true, this is three years before he died.

I now have permission to say the name. The teacher's full name is Li Shao-yi (李绍奕) and he lives in Guangzhou. I guess if you ask other Wu style guys about him they might know him. He is not a commercial teacher so i dont suppose there is much of his stuff on the net.
